Soma is a science-fiction survival horror game in development by Frictional Games, expected to be released in 2015 for PC and PS4. It will be powered by the company's own game engine, HPL Engine 3.
Story and setting[]
As described by creative director Thomas Grip in a Kotaku article, the story of Soma is intended to explore the subject of consciousness and whether or not machines can attain it. At least some of the game will take place on a remote research station called PATHOS-2.
